Juniors

Welcome to the WASPS - Newcastle Cricket Club Juniors - to all who have been before and also to those new to the club.

JUNIOR TRAINING - every Friday evening until the end of the season in September. 6.30 - 8pm for ages 7 to 17. All abilities welcome - no experience required. New this season - Sue's Friday Barbecue!

LEAGUE CHAMPS - we have four teams, and our team manager/coach structure works well, giving regular feedback. The Northumberland League championship for the Under-13s in 2009 was one fantastic result!

GIRLS’ TEAM - we’re pleased that more girls have joined training, and aim to start up an Under-12 girls’ team as the season progresses.

MORE COACHES - last year saw our numbers increase for the third year in a row.  In response to this, we’ve increased the number of qualified Level 1 coaches (male and female) and are recruiting and training up further Level 2 coaches.

WASPS ON THE WAY - our Juniors have been busy designing the new Wasps logo which we’ll bring in during the season.

During the close season we are associated with Heaton Hawks JFC.
They are a junior football club, based at the old Heaton Manor site for boys aged 6 - 16, playing in the local NABC league.
