Jesmond Pool
Newcastle's overseas player/coach from last season Rondal Lake sends thanks to Jesmond Pool for their friendly welcome on his first trip abroad.
Rondal, 21, was given an honorary summer membership to keep in shape before he returns to the island of Anguila at the end of the 2009 cricket season.
"Rondal has been coaching local youngsters in junior cricket with Newcastle Cricket Club, and it seemed a friendly gesture to thank him by making our trainers and refurbished gym available to him," said Chief Executive Glenn Armstrong.
Rondal's verdict? "Everyone's been really friendly, it's been cool to have a local gym that I can visit. Especially because I'm not used to rain like I've found here! - it's been good to keep fit indoors"
